Mechanism Of Action Of Metoclopramide 10Mg Tablets

• Metoclopramide works by blocking messages between the CTZ and the vomiting center. This helps reduce feelings of sickness (nausea) and helps stop vomiting. Metoclopramide tablets and liquid usually start to work after 30 to 60 minutes.

Therapeutic Indications Of Premosan Tablets

• Treatment for 4 to 12 weeks of symptomatic, documented gastroesophageal reflux in adults who failed to respond to conventional therapy.
• Relief of symptoms in adults with acute and recurrent diabetic gastroparesis.

Method Of Administration Of Premosan Tablets

• 10 to 15 mg four times daily (thirty minutes before each meal and at bedtime)
• Maximal daily dose: 60 mg
• Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

• Neuroleptic malignant syndrome

• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Non-Pharmacological Treatments & Advice To Reduce Nausea & Vomiting

• When trying to control nausea:

1. Drink clear or ice-cold drinks.
2. Eat light, bland foods (such as saltine crackers or plain bread).
3. Avoid fried, greasy, or sweet foods.
4. Eat slowly and eat smaller, more frequent meals.
5. Do not mix hot and cold foods.
6. Drink beverages slowly.
7. Avoid activity after eating.
8. Avoid brushing your teeth after eating.
9. Choose foods from all the food groups as you can tolerate them to get adequate nutrition.

• Treatment for vomiting (regardless of age or cause) includes:

1. Drinking gradually larger amounts of clear liquids
2. Avoiding solid food until the vomiting episode has passed
3. Resting
4. Temporarily discontinuing all oral medications, which can irritate the stomach and make vomiting worse

• Take your infant or a child under 6 years old to the doctor if:

1. Vomiting lasts more than a few hours
2. Diarrhea is also present
3. Signs of dehydration occur
4. There is a fever
5. The child hasn't urinated for six hours
