Mechanism Of Action Of Loratadine
- H1 histamine receptor antagonist; competes for H1-receptor sites in target cells in the respiratory tract, blood vessels, and gastrointestinal tract.
- Non-sedative second generation
Therapeutic Indications Of Lorine Syrup
- Loratadine is used to relieve symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever)
- and perennial allergic rhinitis. Symptoms of these conditions can include sneezing, runny nose, and nasal
- itching, in addition to burning, itching, and watering of the eyes.
- Loratadine is also used to relieve symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria (skin rash consisting of hives and wheals).
Method Of Administration Of Lorine Syrup
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
- Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

- The average doses:
- Adults and children aged 12 years and over: take 1-2 teaspoonfuls once at bedtime or as directed by the physician
- Children (below 12 years): as directed by the physician

- If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
