Mechanism Of Action Of Levocabastine
- Levocabastine is a potent, selective histamine H1-receptor antagonist.
- It works by competing with histamine for H1-receptor sites on effector cells.
Therapeutic Indications Of Livostin Nasal Spray
- It is used to relieve sneezing, runny nose, or irritation of the nose caused by allergies to grass, pollen, dust, or other substances.
- It provides rapid and long-lasting relief for symptoms of allergy.
Method Of Administration Of Livostin Nasal Spray
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
- Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- Doses may change from patient to patient based on your age, your medical condition, and whether or not you are taking other medicines.
- Adults and children 6 years of age and over: The usual dose is 2 sprays of livostin nasal spray in each nostril, twice daily.
- If necessary, the dose may be increased to 2 sprays 3 or 4 times daily.
- Do not use it for more than 8 weeks
- Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
- If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

- Stay hydrated: Drink lots of water to thin mucus.
- Inhale steam: Take a hot shower, or boil water and pour it into a bowl, face the bowl (stay at least 1 foot away), place a towel over the back of your head to form a tent, and inhale.
- Use a humidifier, for example, Vicks Air Humidifier, to loosen mucus
- Avoid inhaled irritants such as dust, perfumes, or pollutants. Wear face mask to reduce the exposure to the allergen
