Mechanism Of Action Of Acetylsalicylic Acid

  • The primary established effect of acetylsalicylic acid on hemostasis is to impair platelet aggregation via inhibition of platelet thromboxane A2 synthesis, thus reducing thrombus formation on the surface of the damaged arterial wall.

 

Therapeutic Indications Of Disprin 81 Mg Tablets

  • Prevention of arterial thrombosis after surgeries involving the coronary vessels (bypass and elimination of a constriction of the coronary vessels).
  • Prevention of strokes after preliminary stages have occurred (transient ischaemic attacks, TIA).
  • Prevention of arterial thrombosis (blood clots in coronary vessels) and after a myocardial infarction (re-infarction prophylaxis).
  • Prevention of myocardial infarctions in patients after a high risk was determined by a physician. Comorbidities such as high blood pressure, diabetes, elevated blood
  • lipids must be treated at the same time.
  • Smoking should also be stopped.
  • Treatment of unstable angina pectoris.
  • Treatment of an acute myocardial infarction.
  • Prevention of arterial thrombosis after surgeries on blood vessels.

 

Method Of Administration Of Disprin 81 Mg Tablets

  • It is recommended to take the tablets at least half an hour before a meal. Drink approximately ½ -1 glass of liquid afterward.
  • The tablets should not be crushed, broken or chewed
  • Prevention of arterial thrombosis without bypass surgery on the coronary vessels and after dilation (balloon dilation) of constricted coronary vessels: 100 mg/day.
  • Prevention of arterial thrombosis after bypass surgery on the coronary vessels and after dilation (balloon dilation) of constricted coronary vessels: 100–300 mg/day.
  • Prevention of strokes: 3 × 100 mg/day.
  • Prevention of thrombosis after myocardial infarction and treatment of unstable angina pectoris: 1 × 100 mg/day.
  • Prevention of heart attacks in patients after a high risk was determined by a physician: 1 × 100 mg/day
  • Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
  • If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
  • If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
  • Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

 

Undesirable Side Effects Of Disprin 81 Mg Tablets

  • Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may complain from:
  1. Asthma
  2. Digestive problems, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea
  3. Hypersensitivity reactions (such as swelling of the skin)
  4. Headaches, dizziness, tinnitus, visual impairment, hearing impairment

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
  • Your doctor will discuss the possible risks and benefits of using this medicine during pregnancy and breast-feeding

 

Non-Pharmacological Treatments & Advice To Reduce Blood Clotting

  • Wear loose-fitting clothes, socks, or stockings.
  • Wear special stockings (called compression stockings) if your doctor prescribes them.
  • Do exercises your doctor gives you.
  • Change your position often, especially during a long trip.
  • Do not stand or sit for more than 1 hour at a time.
  • Take all medicines the doctor prescribes you.

 

Warnings & Special Precautions while Taking Disprin 81 Mg Tablets

  • Ulcers can occur in the upper gastrointestinal tract. Bleeding can occur in rare cases or perforations (gastric or intestinal perforation) can occur in individual cases. These complications can occur at any time during treatment without any warning symptoms. Contact your physician if you have stomach pain
  • Careful monitoring is indicated in the event of a limited renal or cardiovascular function such as volume deficiencies, major surgeries, blood poisoning or major bleeding
  • Not recommended for children and adolescents under the age of 18
  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medications including over the counter non-prescription medicines, prescription medicines, herbal supplements, vitamins and supplements.
