Mechanism Of Action Of Chlorhexidine With Cetrimide Cream

  • Chlorhexidine is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial that eliminates bacterial infection by interfering with the bacterial cell membrane.
  • Cetrimide kills microorganisms by manipulating the permeability of the cell membrane.

  • It is used as an antiseptic to clean and disinfect wounds and burns.

 

Method Of Administration Of Cetahex Cream

  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
  • Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • The recommended dose: Apply a thin layer of the product to the affected area, when needed
  • Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
  • If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.

  • Place the burned skin under running cool (not cold nor ice) water, until the pain decline. Notably, ice can worsen skin damage when directly used on the burn.
  • Carefully and promptly, remove any rings or other objects that are too tight, since burned skin commonly swells.
  • Burns sometimes develop a blister, which should not be broken to prevent possible skin infection.
  • Burns is commonly associated with pain; thus, analgesic such as ibuprofen (brufen) and acetaminophen (panadol), can be used to amend the pain.
