Mechanism Of Action Of C-Ronz Effervescent Tablets

  • Vitamin C stimulates neutrophil migration to the site of infection, enhances phagocytosis and oxidant generation, and microbial killing.
  • Necessary for collagen formation and tissue repair
  • plays a role in oxidation/reduction reactions thus act as a powerful antioxidant

Indications Of C-Ronz Effervescent Tablets

  • Vitamin C deficiency, called scurvy, causes bruising, gum and dental problems, dry hair and skin, and anemia.

Method Of Administration Of C-Ronz Effervescent Tablets

  • Completely dissolve the effervescent tablet in a glass of water.
  • If any residue remains in the glass after drinking the liquid, add more water to the glass and drink the liquid.
  • Adults and adolescents over 12 years old:
  1. should take 500mg up to 1 g of C-Ronz daily for vitamin C deficiency and gastrointestinal diseases with absorption disorders (impaired update into the blood).
  2. 500 mg daily is usually sufficient to meet increased requirements.
  3. If you have a cold, take 1 g daily.
  • Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
  • If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
  • If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
  • Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

  • Foods rich in vitamin c:

  • Fresh fruit and vegetables contain a sufficiently high amount of vitamin C. However, when stored for longer periods the vitamin C can be lost to varying degrees.

Warnings & Special Precautions While Taking C-Ronz Effervescent Tablets

  • Do not take Vitamin C
  • If you are allergic to Vitamin C, or any of the ingredients in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor about the allergy and what signs you had.
  • If you are taking other Vitamin C-containing products. Make sure not to exceed the dose
  • Take special care with Vitamin C if you suffer from hereditary disorders of red blood cells (e. g. Glucose-6-Phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency), do not exceed the recommended dose (1000mg per day).
  • if you take an increased dose of vitamin C over prolonged periods, a lack of vitamin C is possible when stopping the treatment as an increased intake may result in an increase in renal clearance of vitamin C.
  • if you are at risk of recurring formation of kidney stones, you should not exceed a daily vitamin C-intake of 100 to 200 mg

  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the box/blisters/label. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.

  • The recommended dietary allowance of Vitamin C is:
  1. Males: 90 mg/day
  2. Females: 75 mg/day
  3. Pregnant: 85 mg/day; not to exceed 2000 mg/day (80 mg if <18 years; not to exceed 1800 mg/day)
  4. Nursing: 120 mg/day; not to exceed 2000 mg/day (115 mg if <18 years old; not to exceed 1800 mg/day)
