Mechanism Of Action Of Desloratadine

• H1 histamine receptor antagonist; competes for H1-receptor sites in target cells in the respiratory tract, blood vessels, and gastrointestinal tract.
• Non-sedative third generation

Therapeutic Indications Of Aerius Syrup

• Desloratadine relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal passages caused by an allergy, hay fever, or allergy to dust mites)
• These symptoms include sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy palate, and itchy, red, or watery eyes.

Method Of Administration Of Aerius Syrup

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
• Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Shake well before uses
• The average doses:

1. Adults and children aged 6 years and over: take one 5 ml spoonful at once at bedtime or as directed by the physician
2. Children (below 6 years): as directed by the physician

• Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
• If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

• Avoid inhaled irritants such as dust, perfumes, or pollutants. Wear face mask to reduce the exposure to the allergen
